AOPB - Advanced Order Processing and Billing is SAP's new platform for Government Contractor Billing, released with ECC 6.0
AOPB includes functionality to meet complex Government Contractor's billing requirements, such as ACRN accounting and Inception-To-Date or ITD billing.
Important features are:
- alternative billing structure, allowing multiple Project System WBS Element assignments to multiple contract line items or CLINs (n to m)
- AOPB enhances SAP's standard billing functioanlity to support Inception-to-date billing on cumulative basis. The solution further facilitates rate adjustments, modification tracking, supporting overall government contract billing and reporting.
- Central to the solution is the extended SD Contract Document, adding Government Billing required functionalities to the contract database. Enhancements in Resource Related Billing (RRB) and pricing provide functionality for ACRN budgeting and Inception-To-Date billing, utilizing RRB, Pricing, and Condition technique.
